A surprisingly long day through lots of mud under blue spring skies
We took the train to Pulborough intending to walk to Arundel but when we arrived at Amberley tired and aching after squishing through miles of mud in Amberley Wild Brooks, we had second thoughts about carrying on. Tea and cake in the lovely sunlit garden of a little tea-room helped us decide to take the train into Arundel, go see the castle and call it a day. Good choice!
